Doggie and hubby now going for quick walkies before it rains again, sending big hugs your way as she waggles out the door. Cor! not three of us now with tooth problems, my glands still swollen and I feel quite sorry for myself, think we need one of these :grouphug: don't you start with the problem in sympathy :) Not sure what we are eating today, could be garlic chicken roast taties and veg. Take care of yourself Penny :) and all.

Morning Dita and all, oh dear poor you. This sort of weather does not help in keeping one cheerful. Dreadful morning here, lots of rain and very dark. Poor rooks nearly in the kitchen today, could not wait for breakfast. Having cold roast pork with fresh vegs. Hubby in his usual place upstairs. Extra hugs all round today, and big kisses for any pussies about. Take care Dita and do keep warm. cheers Penny

Just put in a loaf and having BBQ pork ribs with chips and peas for lunch. Morning Penny and all, still raining apart from the odd few minutes when it is dry, hopes rise then next minute its raining again and cold. Quick walkie between shower, she was reluctant for walk but not at sending you big hugs Penny :) A bit of a problem still tooth wise, just cannot wait to get rid of the ruddy thing, last of antibiotics today and it seems a long time to the 30th. BBQ ribs sound tempting, hubby would enjoy them, not sure what we are having yet. On the outskirts of a nearby town a few miles form here, there is a street which over a week ago had a burst main, they have still not managed to stem the flow, trouble is, it is the second time in two years. Keep your chin up Penny :) and take care all.

Morning Dita and all, big hugs for doggie to start. Everything up the spout today. Finally sorted out. Felt like cutting my own this morning. However, have managed to prepare lunch, doing Sausages in Cider, very tasty and makes enough to put a meal in the freezer. Do hope you are feeling better Dita, daughter came earlier and hopefully has finally sorted out what she is going to do about her teeth. Son has his wisdom one out on Thursday, will be very pleased to see the end of this week. If any pussycats are about big kisses from me. Take care Dita, not many of us left. cheers Penny :please: :grouphug:

Good afternoon Penny and all. You sound as though you have had much the same day as me, I guess I am better in health than temper, but it mainly due to the nagging pain, wish I was going for my extraction this Thurs. We went to Tesco for a bit of a shop, by the time we got round I was so niggly with myself I grabbed a litre bottle of Baily's which was on offer for £12, decided when I got home I was going to drink the lot :) of course I didn't. Went for a walk with doggie when back, had to be in between showers. Big hugs for you today from doggie and myself you like me need one. Like you say not many of us left anyway keep your chin up Penny :) and take care all.

Good heavens! Could anyone actually drink a whole bottle of Baileys' without being very, very sick? Thank goodness you didn't put it to the test, Dita and sorry you're still having a rough time with the horrible tooth.
Hi, all - got back from Wiltshire last night after a fairly OK weekend - OK at least if you don't mind non-stop torrential rain. We had a lovely drive down on Saturday in quite decent weather but, by mid-evening, the rain had started again and it didn't stop until sometime on Monday morning so our vintage bus trips were a touch soggy. There was some lovely scenery and autumn colour out there in the pretty villages but you couldn't see much of anything for streaming rain (and steamed-up windows). Still, all of us die-hard enthusiasts had a lovely time indulging in all kinds of nostalgia. Oh, and the snotty cold has gotten a lot better, too so that helped enormously. I managed to put in a little serious shopping-time in Salisbury before we left for home. I love Salisbury and think I'd like to live there - and not just for the shopping but because it's so laid back and at ease with itself.
Lucy Katt was sprung from the jaixxxxx sorry, cattery, this morning - wailing and complaining all the way home about why can't she stay there where they know how to treat a girl how she ought to be treated? She's asleep on a chair right now and the sun has just come out for almost the firt time today - an hour before it gets dark. I ask you!!

Hi and welcome back Andere, Good to hear your cold feeling easier, also despite it you enjoyed your visit to Wiltshire, I love Salisbury too, a long while since we visited Old Sarum and Tidworth where hubby was stationed. Lucy Katt sounds a very spoilt little madam :) just like my doggie. Take care x

Morning Dita and all, big hugs and kisses for not very nice day for cats and dogs. Bit late today, went to see doc. as expected my blood pressure is too high. She says I don't rest enough. Increased tablets will see how it goes. Ghastly old day, Such a shame, the young man who tends the lawns came to spend the day tidying up and planting the roses. Feel sorry for him but he is quite happy to keep going. Hope all are well in spite of this weather. Take care. cheers Penny

Hi! Penny and all. Had to return a pair of cords hubby bought yesterday at Tesco, cos didn't fit him, that is what he does while little me food shopping. It was dry when we went, but now its pouring down and doggie missed walkies, big hugs needed now :) , thankyou. Your BP sounds just like me, it goes up and down like a yo-yo, do you take beta blockers? I do. Nothing else on the cards today, gonna keep warm, hope you do too Penny :) and all .

Hi, all - woke up to grey skies and cloud but dry until I had to go out which was when it started hammering down yet again. By the time I'd got drenched scurrying between 3 or 4 shops and the optician's, the sun was out again. How unkind is that?

Not a lot going on here today; Lucy Katt continues to take her ease and let the world get by without her. Spoiled little Madam, Dita? Never!! She just knows exactly how to keep her purrsons in their proper, lowly place. :)

Hope the increased dosages help the BP, Penny. Funny you get told to take more rest. My doc's forever telling me more exercise will help to get it down. As I'm a natural couch-potato, this is not welcome news :huffin: but I will get back on the exercise bike soon. I will ....

OH is off out for one of his old reprobates' nights out this evening so, once I've fed him a substantial meal to absorb the quantities of ale, I shall have a lovely long evening to myself to catch up on emails and reading or just to sit in a long, hot bath - can't wait!

Have a lovely evening Andere, give puss a big kiss from me. Just right for her to curl up where it is cosy and warm. Tried to have a sit with feet up today, not me a tall. Feel most uncomfortable. However, will try to get more relaxed time. Take care and enjoy your evening. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and everyone. See there is good news from British Gas????? Sunny here today, nice walkies for doggie, big hugs Penny :) Oh! to be Lucy Katt living in the lap of luxury, bet she's not bothered about your gas bill (if you have it) Andere. Just when I thought I was going to get an easy day hubby decided to paint an outside wall, not grumbling really but.......had other more relaxing plan for the day, done ironing instead. Even when you are not overweight you still get the same old BP problems, I am under 9st and still get the same advice from GP. Take care Penny :) Andere and all.

Hi Dita and all, thanks for hugs Dita, much needed. Bright and dry, still a little cold, A bit late today, just got back from Sainsbury's. Hoping to hear how son got on with his tooth. Won't ring in case he is dozing. Good day to paint outside tho' Dita. Prices seem to have rocketed this week, I really fancied a drop of red wine but backed off when I saw the price They were supposed to have offers on wine but of course, hacked the price up first. Guess I'll stick with the old tap stuff. Take care all and have a good day. Hugs for doggie and kisses for cosy puss. cheers Penny
