Fine, that one is very good. I used to make the one with eggs as well. Never known it to go off, eggs with the spirit should keep very well. The only other one I have is Irish Brand but will put the recipe on here so that you have a choice. Let me know which one you use (if you do ) and what your verdict is.

Irish Brandy.
1` lb Demerara sugar
5 lemons
5 eggs
1/2pint - brandy, rum or scotch
1/4 to 1/2 pt double cream.

Beat eggs, add sugar and beat again. Add lemon juice, and brandy or whatever. Strain into 2 bottles. Keep in fridge.
Easy and tasty this one. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all. Very dark here and a bit blustery, doggie walk this morning was quite pleasant and sunny, big hugs to you today Penny. Hope the pending winds coming will not be as bad as predicted. The hour extra did not agree with my body clock, guess it will be the same for a few more folk too. Take care everyone, and keep your chin up Penny :)

Hi Dita and all. What a rotten day. Thought it was going to be be o.k. this morning but wind started and has howled all day. Did roast for lunch and then a bit of tidying up. Son coming in the morning with grandson. We are to take him to a party at 11 a.m. One of those where hall is hired and go-karts go round and round all day. A birthday bash for a school chum. Only hope they get home o.k. tonight from the coast. He sent mean E Mail saying about the Piri Piri chicken at Lidl. half price. I gave his wife one a few weeks ago and that started a trend. Asked hubby to take me but has other things to do such as watching the motor racing. Grrrrr Big hugs for doggie, could do with a few myself today. Kisses for any puss looking in. Take care. cheers Penny :tantrum2:

Hi Dita and all, hope everyone avoided the storm. We had a little heavy rain early on and a little windy but nothing more. Sunny and the moment. I hope doggie gets her walkies o.k. big hugs for her on the way. Hubby just taken grandson off to the birthday bash. We been playing cards with him for an hour. Difficult to know what to do with youngsters at this age, however, went very well and game me a big hug when he went Take care everyone and keep warm. Kisses for any pussy cats venturing out today. Keep meaning to ask Dita, has the offending tooth gone yet? cheers Penny :grouphug:

HI, everyone -
All is well here; the sun is currently shining and Lucy Katt is sitting on the inside of a sunny windowsill to enjoy it. :) She did seem a little bit spooked by the wind noise in the early hours and came upstairs to sleep by my feet. It just may be that her body clock is as unsettled as mine by the hour change; after all, cats can't read clocks.

OH has gone to Grays for a meeting; haven't had any phone calls to say he's been stopped by a fallen tree or anything so I'm assuming all is well. I''m rather enjoying a little peace and quiet while he's out - but don't tell him I said so!

Hope the walkies is OK today and neither Dita nor Doggie gets blown away.

Good afternoon Penny and all. sunny, breezy, cold day, doggie decided on a long walkies this morning, a bit cold round the lugholes but good for blowing the cobwebs away, came back jiggered but refreshed, many many hugs from doggie, just for you Penny :) Pleased to hear all safe after the storms. Good luck tomorrow, Dita. I don't envy you at all but better out than in, as they say. :bighugs:

Fine here but quite cold, Lucy Katt's been inside most of the day and is in one of her skittish moods chasing shadows, her tail, my feet, and trying to murder an elastic band. I've just got the internet back after 24 hours without it (due to a faulty fibre, according to Virgin Media). Astonishing how cut-off I feel without it these days!

OH surprised me yesterday by bringing me a bunch of flowers when he came home from his meeting. Lovely, bright yellow and white chrysanthemums And it's not my birthday, I'm not sick; he just had one of those rare, nice-guy, romantic moments. He's not a bad ol' stick at times! :bighugs: for him too!

Off now to the weekly writing group meeting - feels like winter when I go out in the dark like this. Purrs and best wishes to all.

Afternoon Penny and all. I have made a big Boo Boo Penny, went to dentists expecting to get tooth out, had been to toilet several times and everything else nerves causes when anxiety takes over, only to find I had got it wrong. Impressions today, tooth out Friday. Anyway doggie had a lovely walk, sun out little chilly and enjoyable, happy hugs coming swiftly your way Penny :) . Lovely surprise for you Andere, thoughtful of your hubby, I suppose they have some good thoughts now and again, hope Lucy Katt in good fettle. Bet your garden tidy and loaf probably eaten by now, keep your chin up Penny :) take care all.
