Glad you're a little better, Penny - you're right, there are a lot of strange bugs around. Someone suggested the other day it's because there's been no really cold weather to kill them all but I don't really subscribe to that. After all, it was plenty cold last winter an there were still loads of viruses around.
Definitely no cat and dog-walking today, its utterly vile outside with howling gales and scattered rain. There was a wild hailstorm about 5:30 this morning, I woke up in a panic as it rattled the windows, thinking the glass was breaking ....
OH is at a hospital appointment, trying to find out why some of his blood tests have had funny results, They're suggesting there might be a kidney problem and that could be a result of all the antibiotics he had to have recently or it might be due to his diabetes - although that's pretty well controlled. It's a worry and I'm trying not to let him know how worried I am but just be laid-back and wait and see the way he always does.
I'm a bundle of nerves because I'm taking part in an event for National Story-telling Week tonight. Several local writers are reading our work to an audience in the library - like a poetry evening with stories, if you get me. It's taken me weeks to decide what to read and I've practised so much that I sound like a speaking clock! It's ages since I've done anything like this and, overall, I much prefer radio where nobody can see you! Anyway, OH and a couple of our friends are coming so they've promised to take me away for intravenous gin and a good meal afterwards so I shall concentrate on looking forward to that.
Take care and keep warm, everyone
