Hi Dita and all, all mixed up today, nothing seems to go right. However, been out for lunch, unexpected but fine. Hope doggie is warm and enjoyed walkies today with loads of hugs. Kisses for pussies too, not sure about weather for them today. Daughter's birthday today. Prepared her usual(cash) and put to one side. Looked at date on paper and saw 16th. OH happened to say, when is the 19th, I said Friday. Daughter just rung and said, how about my birthday. I replied, thought you were going to come in tomorrow for presee. She said, why would I come on Thursday when my birthday is today. Gosh, I had looked at a newspaper but it was not todays. Idiot me. Anyway, some foreign gent has crashed her new car. Now all the worries start again. I am going to hibernate until next year. Take care all and keep warm. cheers Penny

Oh lor' - what a saga of woes. After the last two posts, I really had to drop by and offer huge :bighugs: :bighugs: :bighugs: all round for comfort. Hope the foreign driver is insured and isn't just gong to do a runner back to wherever he came from. Grrr! There are always so many idiots about and it's always the new cars they hit .... Trust your daughter's OK and it was only the car that got hurt?

Weather here's been a bit drizzly today but some sunshine and it's much warmer than it has been recently. Quite a pleasant night now and Lucy K has just taken herself off for a late evening stroll. Dita, be careful with your back and don't let that hound of yours start pulling you along and stressing it.

Morning Dita and all, Thanks Andere, daughter came this morning to collect her birthday cash and is fine. The damage is £1000.plus but she is fine. She has certainly grown up now, took pictures of the chappie and made him sign a statement that he was to blame. Seen police (not interested) spoken to Insurance co. for the chappie's insurance and seems all is sorted. Having a hire car for period that hers is away. I am very relieved. Like Dita, I am full of aches and pains but getting on with the normal day to day. Just put two loaves in. Hope your back is better Dita, please do take care, I know what it is like and it can be agony. Keep a hot water bottle handy for when you get to sit five mins. Always helps. Pleased weather is o.k. for walkies along with lots of hugs and just right for pussies with kisses to soothe any troubles way. Planned to do Chicken Kiev with cheese sauce today but hubby fancies liver and onions, so liver it is. Take care all and hopefully enjoy good weather for a time. cheers Penny

Hi Penny, Andere and all, the sun rose beautiful and its still shining now, chilly but good doggie walkies, those hugs were warming and she had plenty tail wags, saw a couple of cats which showed her barking skills off, did you hear them L Katt :) Still got mi ailments trying to take it easier today but find sitting worse than standing because doggie insists on using my knee for snoozing. Hope your daughter gets insurance company sorted and receives compensation for the damage to her car, its a blessing she was uninjured. Keep smiling Penny :) Andere and all.

Morning Dita and all, just odd for weekly shop and hopefully meet son for lunch. Dreadful morning, cold, dark, and wet don't know what to say doggie, except hope hugs help the day along. I know kisses will help pussies as they will be curled up all day. Wish I could. Do hope you are feeling easier Dita, take care of your back. Keep warm everyone and pray for nicer March. cheers Penny

Hi Penny, Monsy and all, not too bad here so doggie walkies quite pleasant, sounds like you need hugs today Penny because you have rain. Monsy watch out for the seagulls flying through your window, it possible they may grab your spider friend, or Stevie ???? Just been for a bit of a shop at Tesco not very exciting, had to leave the scottish ladies at the Olympics Curling on the 8th end, arrived back to find they won and earned themselves a bronze medal, will be shouting for the guys tomorrow in the final. Hope you caught up with your son and enjoyed your lunch Penny :) Keep your chin up, Hi L Katt, take care all

Mornin' all! Lovely day here today - bright and sunny with lots of blue sky. Hope it's the same for little dogs being walked. It'd be nice to go out and enjoy it but, currently, I've got the plumber scrambling about in the loft, trying to resolve the airlock in the bathroom water pipes. Then I've a grocery delivery booked for mid-afternoon so there won't be much left of the day by then! Ocado have a special offer, Bitesize Shredded Wheat for half price so OH said to order as much as they'd allow. That turned out to be 20 packs and I'm still trying to work out where we're going to put 15kg of bliddy breakfast cereal.

I'm so glad Penny's daughter's OK - shame about the new car but, hey, it's only a thing.

I was really cheered up yesterday when I was at a friend's house and saw the daffodils out in her front garden. There's also just the faintest of green sheens appearing on some of the trees so maybe it really won't be long until spring. No sign of my daffodils yet; I think they've gone into reverse!

Lucy K is very sleepy this morning. She was outside until very late last night so goodness knows what she was up to. Probably better not to know!
Hope the back improves soon, Dita; it's horrible when you can't sit down comfortably and then you start wondering if you'll have to begin to sleep standing up like a horse. Hugs enclosed, if they help :bighugs:

Morning Dita and all,Lovely and sunny here, still cold but very pleasant Doggie should enjoy nice walkies with load soft hugs. Kisses forpussies too, night be a wondering dy for them too. Had a nice lunch with son yesterday,he has just bought a new carpet cleaner and has loaned it to us to do the hall carpet Hubby siting reading instructions at present. I loaned mine to my daughter years ago and like everything else she borrows, it vanished. The machines are rather expensive now, over X£2300 Xpounds. so decided to borrow sons rather than get another one. He doesn't mind at all, even rang and arranged for required liquid
to be delivered here on Monday. I do hope you back is easing Dita, I know the feeling. An aching back really screws up the works. I could hardly stand when I got up this morning so went under the heat-lamp for 15mins. Does help somewhat. Do take care and keep warm everyone. Hope you find room to pack your goodies Andere. If not, I am sure birdies would be grateful. ha ha.
Watch Stevie does not get blown away Monsy. cheers Penny
Should read £300/ plus :sorry:

Hi Penny, Andere and all. Its a lovely day and was a happy walkies for doggie, sure we saw L Katt lurking around in the bushes while out, she came back with tail wagging at your gentle hugs Penny. We had our fitted carpets taken out and replaced with tiles, have rugs strewn around to keep our tootsies warm. Do still have fitted up the stairs, landing and bedrooms. All those boxes of Bitesize Shredded Wheat how long will it take you to get through that lot Andere? Never heard of Ocado. Back still iffy, by the time I got round Tesco yesterday was nearly on my knees but it easier than expected today, I never thought about getting a heat lamp Penny its usually the hot water bottle. I'm making a homemade Rice pud, had loads of spare milk. Keep smiling Penny :) springs on the way and take care Andere and all.xx

Just a quick reply Dita, noticed I made a mistake re carpet cleaner. should have read £300 plus. I have had a heating machine for several years, used to have to visit chappie who manipulated backs etc. I was sent to him by the doc. as I had hurt my back badly and the NHS didn't have anything suitable at the time. I know it cost a fortune. But, I have never regretted buying the lamp. Different sort now of course, mine is a big one with a stand, like the NHS but they are neat and small now. I bought one for my daughter in law. Do take care tho', back trouble is always lurking about. My birds have been down twice today, so hungry. Told them to go to see Andere but I don't think they fancy the journey.
Weather still bright but getting windy and duller by the hour. Take care. cheers Penny

:worryrose: :hi: :hughcry: :bighugs:
I did have a little giggle about the price of the cleaner.
Do not think my back problem is anything as serious as yours Penny.
Old age and poverty or something :roflmao:

Morning Dita and all, a quickie today. Just to make sure doggie gets loads of hugs for walkies and pussies kisses to cuddle with. Lovely and sunny but rather cold again. Hubby cleaning the carpets, started at least. Did the hall this morning. Very good stuff. Pleased we borrowed sons cleaner. OH is having his usual after lunch sit and then plans to do the dining room. Whole place carpeted Dita, except kitchen of course. Not too bad tho' with only two of us don't have too much mess. Have a good weekend all and keep warm. Watch your back Dita. cheers Penny
