Hello evveryone. I hope Dita & doggie are enjoying their walk? It's very mixed here - one moment, warm sunshine, the next foul, black clouds and gusty wind. LK has been out to check what it's like an now opted for In; currently keeping an eye on OH downstairs to make sure he doesn't misbehave (as if he would!). I hope Viv & Trixie enjoyed St P's day and aren't both flaked out with Guinness hangovers? :downhatch:
Penny - I hope your OH doesn't have any bad news from his surgery visit; fingers are crossed for him and cyber-massages to your shoulder. Oh, and the knee is vastly improved this morning, so thanks all for your good wishes. I''m sure they do make a difference. It's not cured but I'm not in constant pain now and moving about is much easier.
Even our car is on the mend - the mechanic took it to the workshop this morning to fix the problems that surfaced last week. :)

Good morning Penny and all. Have men throwing pebbles at the walls at back of house this morning after a last coat of cement stuff, doggie having much fun watching through the window and I cringe each time another shovel full is thrown. Hope shoulder and knee problems easier. It will be a rather dull doggy walkies, cuddles and hugs to you Penny as we go on our way. Purrs to L Katt & Trixie we will look out for you lurking in the bushes. Nothing planned so far apart from keeping out of the way for the day, keep chin up Penny :) and take care all.

Morning Dita and all, sorry I am a bit late this morning. One of those days. Do hope the stoning is going well, I expect it will look smashing when finished. Doggie will miss workmen soon. Extra hugs to make up for being late and kisses for pusses, I expect they will be out and about today. Our weather is dry so far but rather dull and cold. Are you all awaiting the budget. Don't worry nothing good for any of us poor oldies. Thought I would prepare you so that no one is disappointed. (\wicked me) Hope your knee is still improving Andere, My shoulder was getting on fine yesterday so had the Hudl on for a while last night, All stiff again this morning. So, problem solved, I cannot use the Hudl by just holding it, I need a small table. Have a suitable one in the van so must get it out. Have a good day all and take care. cheers Penny :please: :grouphug:

You can get stands for tablets out the £1 shop, Penny. You could then put it on the table and you wouldn't have to hold it at all!

Thanks Monsy, we have leather pouches which open out and form a stand, but, during the day I use my computer and it is only in the evening that I use the Hudl in the lounge, thinking it would help me relax, fat chance. I have a little folding table that just covers the knees so will get it from the van and give it a try. cheers Penny

Penny hope the stand eases you. Also meant to mention yesterday, how did hubby get on at hospital with his problem the other day?

Stuck now, got the little table out and used it, guess what. It's the other arm that aches not the one which holds the Hudl. I give up. cheers Penny :tantrum2:

Hi, all - at last the sun has come out: around 10 to 5 after a very grey day. Huh! Not much going on here; I didn't sleep well, kept having strange, unsettling dreams and now I'm too tired to concentrate properly on anything. At least my knee continues to improve - my problem now is remembering not to do anything silly and set it off again, like jiving to the radio in the kitchen while I wait for things to boil .... I hope sorting out a suitable table fixes your shoulder, Penny. Stupid how ordinary, pleasant things can set off stress injuries, isn't it? ~Oh, just read your latest post. Maybe it's the way that you sit while using it that's causing the problem?

How's the stone-throwing, Dita? Not sure I could cope with having stuff chucked at the house with me still in it; I'd have had to go out for the day to escape the stress. When our neighbours had their house pebble-dashed, years ago now, they told us they were going to do it but we were out at work while it was going on. I hadn't been prepared for the quantity of pebbles that landed all over our garden and windowsills. When we got home, it looked like we'd had our front gravelled!

OH is getting all tarted up for one of his (old)boys' nights out. Great - I can have an early bath and a mug of camomile tea and (hopefully) be dead to the world by the time he staggers home.

Morning Dita and all, weather a bit mixed so hope doggie gets a nice walkies before any rain. Lots of hugs and kisses on the way. Going for weekly shop and meeting son for lunch I hope. Sun is shining but it is very windy. Hope the outside is drying well Dita. Won't belong now and then back to normal. Take care all. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, hope you having good shop and natter with your son Penny, quite a windy hike today on doggie walk, bit chilly too so grateful for a warm hug. They are working on the front of house today, at last there is an end in sight, Yippee, will have to post a pic when all done and dusted. Hi L Katt, Andere I have a mug of Camomile and Honey tea each day, it is a good drink to relax muscles, a relative who has MS drinks it because she says it helps a bit. Keep your chin up Penny :) and take care all.

Hi Dita, meant to ask did you get my PM. Had a good visit to Morrisons today, the offers they have at the moment are tremendous. For instance, shandy. A very large bottle in Sainsbury is £1.25. I got two same size today for £1.30. A definite price war at the moment so if anyone is around, pop in. cheers Penny
