Hi Penny and all, :roflmao: :roflmao: You did make me laugh over hubby blaming you for putting blackcurrant jam on his chair, I side with you and a good kick up the 'bun' bum :butt: is what he needs :roflmao: :roflmao: guess what my Gemini hubby chose for favourite jam?--correct Penny.
We had a lovely doggie walk this morning and your hugs cheered us along our way Penny, pity you were not with us I am sure you would have enjoyed it too. I would gladly make a couple of loaves for your young gardener if he were able to keep our garden in trim condition as well as yours, have managed to get Nigel from next door nip round our grass and I'm grateful for his help but he's not so keen on weeding. If the weather is fine S I L and partner may visit on Sunday from Blackpool so keeping fingers crossed it doesn't rain. Gonna see what I can whip up for tea now, not in work mode so it will be from the freezer mi thinks. Keep smiling Penny :) despite him inside :roflmao: and take care all. :grouphug:

Hi Andere It is pretty nippy in Lincolnshire too so wrap up warm. Enjoy your trip and I hope you have a good time. :bighugs: and a safe journey. L Katt has sense thats for sure.

Morning Dita and all. Hugs and kisses on the way. Might be needed today, nice and sunny but rather cold. Out for lunch today, last minute decision. Did laundry earlier so catching up. Hope your jobs are nearly over Dita, get ready for a nice rest. Hope visit goes well on Sunday. Young chap came last night, did a super job on lawns. Folk usually remark on how good they look. I'm afraid you are a little too far away for him to come to you. Pity. One of few good workers these days. Take care all and have a good Easter weekend. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, those hugs were needed today it was very cold despite the sunshine on our doggie walk. Have been busy scraping cement stuff off the windows and paintwork in our fairly large porch at the front of the house, we have vinyl tiles in there and because of the mess need to replace them, what made it worse we have an electric plug available the workmen paddled in and out all the time to use it. Hope you enjoyed your lunch Penny, I froze half a turkey crown at Xmas, have just dragged it out of the freezer for tomorrow. Keep that pecker up Penny :) and take care.

Hi Dita, hope all is well today in spite of the weather. Hope your relatives managed to come. Trust doggie got my hugs, sent them early as I thought I was out for the day, turned out OH didn't really want to go to Shuttleworth car and air show, I had a feeling this would happen as he kept saying, we must watch the weather. Rain was a good excuse Tried to give tickets away but of course everyone had already planned their day. So, wasted tickets and cash, serves him right. Still sitting watching TV. I have done so many crosswords I just gave up.
Hope you have a good Easter Monday, don't eat too many Easter eggs. Hope your tidying up is well and truly over now. Lets hope for some good weather so you can enjoy your well earned rest. Take care, cheers Penny

Hi Penny, sorry to be late. I tried to get on earlier but visitors pipped me to the post and they had driven a long way to be with us, they are just on their way back so here I am. Sorry to hear you missed a day out, what a waste of tickets and cash, bloomin fellers. Doggie got your hugs during walkies, it was a bit chilly with very little sun however the rain kept away. Not had any easter eggs because the roast turkey I cooked was enough, did make a jelly and we had icecream and flakes, all were full to busting so they gone home happy. Feeling pretty tired now as you get older it gets harder to make sure everyone has a good time. Gonna have an hour watching tv now, keep smiling dear Penny :) and take care xx

Hi Dita and all, hope doggie enjoyed her walkies today, hope the sunshine is with you too. Lovely here today. a little windy to start but died down now. Been a bit busy this morning. Cleaning my bathroom and mopping up the kitchen floor. Son phoned last night, back from Dorset. Came back a little early. Said half the beach was missing with a lot of trees blown down. The Hut was o.k. but a several of them have vanished and those rented out by the National Society are being removed before they are destroyed by the high waves. Son thinks ours might vanish next year, getting too close to the sea now. Some parts have vanished including a path along the front we used to walk along to the toilets and little shop, no sign of where it was. Nature at its worst. Fingers crossed. Take care all and have a good day. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, lovely doggie walkies, spring has sprung for sure even if it still chilly out there, trees and bushes have sprung into life, birdies singing such sweet melodys, and your hugs sums it all up and was icing on the cake :) I do feel sad to hear about the blown trees and huts which are destroyed or at risk from the sea, the very sea which is the attraction in the first place. I do hope yours is not a victim for a while yet, I know how important it is to your son and family. The situation is similar on our coasts too, as you say nature at its worse. Its been cleanup day here too after our hectic day yesterday, surprising how many hairs the doggy deposits when demanding attention from guests who are here especially to give her pleasure on the football field (rugs etc). Son is at the moment on the road between Limoge and Calais it seems only a couple of days since their journey there. Keep that pecker up Penny :) and take care all.

Hi-ya! I'm here! Not lost nor even mislaid ...
I hope all are well despite this grey and dismal weather? I don't think it's going to get properly light today at all; definitely not good dog-walking weather and poor LK keeps wandering out the front then scuttling miserably inside again and going through to the back where she hopes it's going to be magically better but, of course, it isn't so she comes in again and howls at me to make it better. Aaaaah! She's being a bit clingy after we left her to her own devices while we went to Lincoln because she's quite a sociable little puss and she missed us. I'd never leave her alone more than one night and she always has twice as much food as she can eat in her timer dishes and a big bowl of Iams on the side and is free to come and go through the cat-flap so she's fine - although I still feel a bit irresponsible and fret about her.

Lincoln was lovely - it rained hard around brekky time Sunday morning but was drying up before 10am so we stayed dry; it wasn't even quite as cold as predicted so we had a pretty good time with no shivering. It was a good vintage vehicle event although not as many attended as usual - maybe put off by the early rain - and it was a chance to catch up with friends we only see once or twice a year so plenty of gossip and chat going on. And the blossom .... wow! I thought spring was beautiful this year around here but Lincs is utterly gorgeous; the sort of green and pleasant land the tourist boards want visitors to see. If only it could always be like that! We drove home through a belt of heavy rain but by the time we got home, it had turned into a pleasant evening. We stayed home yesterday; the weather was OK but we figured if we went anywhere, we'd just get stuck in the homebound holiday queues when we wanted to come back and that does terrible things to OH's blood pressure! (Mine, too)

Today's a quiet day for doing laundry and making soup so I shall go and get on with both! Hugs and purrs to all.

Hi Penny, Andere and all. We are all gorgeous in Lincs Andere, pleased you had a good time at the old vehicle event, L Katt would be happy to see you back again. You sound very busy Penny, watch you dont meet yourself coming back, you still had plenty time for dog huggies today though which was good, it was a bit muddy walkies today rain around. hope all ok with you anyway xx. Have washing wizzing round and round and another lot waiting, so much excitement watching that going round is too much for my BP, let alone getting bogged down when in traffic. Whatever you are doing keep smiling Penny :) and take care Andere and all.

Delighted all are o.k. So pleased you enjoyed your trip Andere. Went off to Bank, Post Office, then off to lunch at The Old Mill Wolverton. Wasn't planned as I had already decided lunch menu but OH got browned off with me cleaning and decided to have a break.( good for him} Saw an old doggie and had a chat and coming out of the Mill a lovely old black cat, so after a lovely pussy chat came home quite contented. Keeps trying to rain here and rather cold. Take care and have a good evening all. cheers Penny
