Hi Penny and all, can understand OH is feeling really down with his hay fever the count is very high just now and the humidity leaves a lot to be desired, think its getting to us all even if we do not suffer usually. Hope son and his wife enjoy their anniversary weekend, it will be nice for you too having your grandchildren for company but hope you don't spend too much time in the kitchen. My sister in law and partner are coming over from Lancs for the day sunday, we are looking forward to that, they will be bringing my OH's birthday gift for the 19th (Gemini). May pop out later for a brouse round T K Max but waiting for a grocery delivery first. Keep your pecker up Penny :) and take care all.

Morning Dita and all, hugs and kisses on there way. Not sure of weather, had a little rain overnight but very dry now. Looks overcast. OH still in room with flannel over his face. Still stinging eyes. Do hope everyone is well, busy planning weekend with grandchildren but of course, grown up now, have to take them where they are playing tennis etc. No peace for the wicked. One thing I do right, have put in a loaf for their tea. They do love that. Take care all. Have a good weekend. Take care Dita and vannin, get plenty of rest. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, It has been a cloudy muggy day until almost teatime, then the sun came out and still is. I am very late online today because after a clean up this morning we went off to the Range to see what we could find for B.I.L's birthday present we didn't have success yesterday at T K Max, they are coming tomorrow and as its his BD next week wanted them to take it with them back home. Came home very tired and hungry, thank goodness for meals from the freezer at these times, I am now in the middle of baking scones so it easier for tomorrow as I know they will be expecting one with a cuppa when they arrive. Hope you are enjoying the company of your grandchildren Penny, will you get a bowl of strawberries and cream at the tennis club? Sorry OH is still feeling uncomfortable with his hay fever. Was late doggie walking today but hugs very welcome as usual. Keep your chin up Penny :) and take care all.

Hi, all and I hope everyone with visiting rellies is enjoying plenty of good company and good food and laughter. It's very grey and overcast here; I hung out a stack of laundry first thing and it immediately got drizzled on so I wasn't a happy bunny. It's still out there, hanging limply in the gloom but not really drying. Such a change from earlier in the week - we had fabulous weather for our trip to Bewdley and the day on the Severn Valley railway was superb so we had a really great time. Good to meet up again with a big bunch of people we tend to only see a couple of times a year and have a natter.
Lucy Katt was very grumpy when we collected her yesterday. Penny at the cattery said she'd been like that ever since she arrived; swishing her tail and glaring at them all whereas she's usually very affectionate with all the cattery people and loves them to bits because they spoil her so much. She was OK after she'd been home a few hours and eventually crept up to me and rubbed my ankles to say 'can we be friends again?'
We're not doing too much today. I'm catching up on some paperwork and OH is still in his dressing gown in front of his lap-top  and I might go and nag him soon to get dressed. Hope all are well - including dogs, cats and people! So glad the mites are holding off for now, Viv.

Hi Penny, Andere and all, been a busy one for us wanted to prepare as much towards lunch before visitors arrived so I wouldn't spend most of the time in the kitchen, they arrived about 11am and had managed an easy run for a change on the m62 it is very often a nightmare. They have now gone back, it was great to see them even for only a few hours. Pleased you had a good time Andrea, naughty L Katt sulking, you spoil her rotten better let her take your duvet with her next time. :) Do hope you've had a nice weekend Penny and managed to relax a bit besides slaving in that kitchen, do hope OH's hay fever easier too, it has been mostly cloudy here and still humid, short doggie walk due to visitors coming to play with her so ball in mouth waiting for them on doorstep.
Hugs and smiles Penny :) and take care Andere and all.

Hi Penny and all, nothing worse than a painful back ache, do hope you get some relief from your cushion. Sun only just peeping through here been very hazy the last couple of days but hasn't put doggie off her walkies, she is well up for it. If you go to Costco Penny just watch your back, do not carry too much bird seed??? I am still trying to take it easy but find sitting around very hard as I am usually up and down like a yoyo. Keep smiling Penny :) and take care all.

Hi Dita, back from Costco atlast. Got there late as son phone just as weweregpoing out. Popped in for a snack and as I was only going for one item for OH - beefburgers, he staed in the café and I went off for the burgers. Ended up spending wellover £100. where does it go. Anyway, got to the checkout and could see OH sitting there so waved, I waved, and waved. A Japanese lady in front of me said, he is ignoring you. Finally saw me and continued to just sit. The lady in front turned to me as much to say, I don't believe it, as she left, I said give him a Kick up the rump as you pass, I thought she was going to wet herself, but she said I wish I could. She gave him such a stare as she passed. Anyway, he just sat there until I was finished and then took the trolley to push it through the door. Talk about helpmate. Arrived home, took stuff out of the Landrover and then went, give you one guess ,so as usual I have been repacking the stuff for the freezer. Just finished. Thought you might like a smile. Take care. cheers Penny

I'm often guilty of that! If I'm just sitting and waiting, I get lost in thought and then OH comes stomping crossly up and demands 'Didn't you see me waving?' Well, obviously not, or I'd have waved back .... Talking of OH, he's gone off for a chest x-ray this afternoon because I finally persuaded him to go to his GP and try to find out why he's always so breathless these days. She's referring him for cardiology tests - although there was nothing wrong with his heart when he had all those tests and things in November. It could be due to so many things; I try not to worry but in the last year, my hearty always-bounces-back spouse seems to have turned into a fragile old man so I can't help but be concerned.
On the good news front; I heard from my friend Jackie a little while ago. The surgeon phoned her to say her OH had come through his cancer op very well and is now resting in the hospital ward. This was a consultant surgeon in a NHS hospital and he phoned her! Amazing service!
Weather's quite warm and sunny here but with a sharp edge to the wind if you get in the shade, but it dried all my bath towels in a couple of hours. :) Lucy K's enjoying it and has been outside most of the day.
