Know exactly how you feel Andere. Mine Falls asleep at the flick of an eyelid, then, doesn' t feel ready for bed at the proper time. Like many ladies, murder seems welcome at times. Sorry about the pad, never mind something to look forward to. Get plenty of rest whilst you can. Morning Dita and all hope everyone was up to the sunshine that we have here today. Such a surprise as we were forecast storms and heavy wind. hugs and kisses for little ones. Take care all and have a good day. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, weather was ok earlier but it is more clouds than sun now. Isn't it funny that when we first meet our OH's to be and get to know their attractive parts of their personalities then find we actually fancy them?? (trying to be diplomatic) but as time goes on we find ourselves planning all sorts of things as we sit watching their open gobs, loud snoring etc. :roflmao: :groaner: :rolleye11: :exactly: :roflmao: Sorry about your tablet Andere, never mind you have the pleasure yet to arrive, I have done that before it is very easy to make that mistake when ordering on line, think they like confusing us sometimes they make more money. Fancied some dumplings so dragged a bowl of stew out of the freezer, thank goodness I made some for doing just that.
Keep smiling Penny :rolleye11: think of the fly's they could catch, and take care Andere and all. :sunglasses:

Late on parade again! Hi, everyone and I hope all is well with you and furry companions. It's been another grey day with a stiff breeze and a little drizzle, just what was wanted for the Armistice parade this morning. It was so raw that we didn't hang about to gossip afterwards, just ran for the car and turned up the heater.
Had a very enjoyable evening. OH had persuaded me to go to a talk about the contribution of black services personnel during WW1. I was a bit .. Meh! about it but it was really interesting, partly because the speaker really knew his stuff and also because it covered a lot of colonial history from a black perspective which is a different view from the one in the school history books. I always like it when I've learned something without trying :)
An email arrived from Amazon to say my new gizmo will probably arrive Saturday. What's the betting OH will try to get his hands on it? I haven't even told him I've ordered it so that'll be interesting....

Hi Penny and all, I'm very late today had some disturbing and upsetting news early this morning because my son rang to say my ex-his Dad had died this morning, it has really knocked me for six, although we were not together for many years it does not mean I didn't care and we did have two children between us, he had this year moved into a home because of severe dementia, do not yet know the full details the cause of his death. Dolly has not left my knee, funny how they sense things isn't it?
I need some shopping so will find out tomorrow thanks for the warning, sorry you didn't get the usual meet up with your son today Penny, can imagine you miss not having a natter on a Thursday its such a nice thing to be able to do. Make sure you answer the door when your new machine arrives Andere, men they are such a nuisance. Ready for a cuppa now, just made some scones and I'm gonna eat em! all to myself. Keep smiling Penny :) and take care allxx

So sorry to hear about your Ex, Dita. As you say, just because you didn't stay married doesn't mean you don't care and, as the father of your children, he was always going to be part of your life. So sad and I hope current OH will be supportive and understand your feelings now. Bless little Dolly; pets are lovely, the way they somehow know when their presence is required.

Our weather was lovely this morning but it's gone squally and miserable now. I went out for a huge and self-indulgent lunch with a friend; lovely Italian food and a long natter then just made it home off the bus before it rained. Thank goodness.

Still no firm word on the tablet but the cover/stand I ordered separately arrived this morning. Now I'm waiting to see how long it is before OH asks what that intriguing Amazon package is, propped up on my desk! Penny's quite right, he will be itching to use it first given half a chance :)

Know what you mean about supermarket foods increasing in price; you can understand things becoming more expensive as their season ends and they become scarcer but, overall, I reckon my grocery bills are around 10% higher now than at the beginning of this year and I buy pretty much the same stuff, time after time and there seems no rhyme or reason to it. :dunno:

My condolences, too, Dita. :grouphug:

I found last year that the price of a pork pie here rose by almost 50%, from $7.65 to $10.45 (3.50 to 4.90 pounds uk) - needless to say I haven't bought one since !

Dita, I was so sorry to read your post about the death of your ex. I have been somewhat erratic in postings this week owing to the computer going into two modes = Slow and Stop. Even if we are not still literally 'together' with someone, the years we WERE together still have the vital part of our memories and especially with the children you brought into the world. I hope you are not feeling too bad today and that your friends and family are around you. :grouphug:

Lacey, Deja, Vannin thanks so much for your kind messages, I am so grateful and what you all say is so true regarding the past. :grouphug:
Hi Penny and all, this is my second attempt wrote a long saga and where it went is anyone 's guess. Needless to say this will be shorter, I feel a little worse for wear today but muddling through as one has to and my OH is very supportive too. Wonder if Anderes new machine has turned up early just as a surprise. Also wondering if your young man is visiting today :roflmao: :roflmao: Will pop back later, like you I am keeping my chin up Penny :) and take care all xx Thanks everyone :grouphug:

Hi Dita, pleased you are coping, all we can do. Forgot to mention young man. I was busy dreaming of hibernation. He came last week for a long time finishing of the garden and trimming hedges etc. Seem he and OH had decided it was time to put the plants to bed for the winter. so, won't see him for a time. He will pop by for a Christmas gift, look around and then decide when to start again . Looks like we will have to postpone the hibernation until spring. Rotten news. Almost forgot hugs and kisses for little ones. Our cuddles will have to be with them for the time being. Take care. cheers Penny
