Morning Dita and all. Very dull and cold again. Strange, you must have been chatting to my OH. He had Three pairs arrive yesterday and is wearing one of them now. At least keeping warm does help to keep one on the right side of sanity. Do hope you are all feeling brighter, keep telling myself feeling low can,t last for ever. fingers crossed. During lunch we were watching a bluetit messing around in the box on the wall which has a camera fixed inside. The noise it made is beyond belief.
We didn.t get any last year so am hoping we will be lucky next time. Hugs and kisses all round. Take care all. cheers Penny

Greetings from here - very damp and depressing but at least it has stopped raining now. Absolutely nothing happening here. I spent the morning making minestrone now just want to go back to bed. Better not though as I'm meant to be at the writer's group meeting tonight.
My OH has a drawer full of thermals but won't wear them because he hates feeling constricted. Sits around in a short sleeved shirt then says he's cold and wants to turn up the heat! Funny how we're all different : one of the few things I love about winter is big sweaters!

Morning Dita and all. A bit dull and cold but dry. Nothing planned today, OH just gone down to the farm for eggs. Had reminder re dentist appointment next week. All I needed to cheer me up???? Hugs and kisses for little ones. Had a female pheasant in the garden this morning pinching the seed. Didn.t realise they will attack other birds. One of the jackdaws happened to come close and was driven off. Will have to have a serious word. As the weather gets worse the birds come closer. Now they are about two yards from the dining room window and stand and catch stuff as I toss it. Annoys you know who. ha ha so do it more and more. Take care all and if possible, have a good day.Cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, have just had notification that we can go and pick up the xmas present for my Granddaughter, it was a bit worrying because it is my ex's funeral on Monday and my son and family are going to be here earlier than planned and we will be exchanging our gifts, at least now that has eliminated that worry. I have been using the sad light for 20mins the last 3days, just hope it works even if it creates a placebo effect because I do feel a little less down :) will keep you posted. Those female pheasants are a bit feisty but don't blame them its those damn farmers pointing their rifles at them. I have never worn those thermal leggings before and do find them warm which is good but in some places a little restricting Andere. Gonna go and pick up the gift now, Keep your chin up Penny :) and take care all xx

So pleased you seem to be on a turning point Dita. Must look round for those lamps. Never seen one. Must be time of year as we all (( ladies only ) seem to be in need of an uplift. Will be thinking of you and your son on Monday, A sad time but peace at last for the old boy. Take care and keep up with the lamp. cheers Penny

Hi, all . It's been quite like bright here today for once :sunglasses: so I feel a bit more cheerful. Keep up the sessions with the lamp, Dita. It's not instant but it will start to take effect. Not done a lot today except wash the sheets plus some friends took us out to lunch as a thank-you for helping with their recent house move. Not that we did that much, really but it was a delicious meal and lovely to have a chance for all of us to get together and chat. Looks like I have a leisurely evening ahead with nothing urgent to do so maybe I'll go and do some more work on my photo albums... Keep warm and smiling, all.

Hi Penny, I have got the funeral date wrong, it is the 1st December on Tuesday @ 11.20am. I will certainly appreciate your thoughts as it will not be easy as other ex in-laws will be there who I haven't seen for many years. Noticed Amazon had a Sad Light on their black Friday site Andere but not the same one as I have which as I said before Sad Lightbox Co, www.sad.uk.com
Take care my friends, keep warm xx

Hi, Dita - I'm just working with my 'Hue' light every morning and it is having some effect, I think, but I may get something more like yours as an addition to sit on my desk if I feel the need of an extra boost. I'll be thinking of you Tuesday - a horrible time for you all.

I'll be thinking of you too Dita :grouphug:

I bought a pair of leggings from Damart the winter before last but have only worn them three times because they were too warm! The vests I bought were worn more times but the most popular with me are the camisole thermals. They were from Tu at Sainsburys.

Andere, I had my grocery delivery from Ocado today and could not believe my eyes when he backed up the drive. You know how wide the vans are and the drive's narrowness puts most people off trying. Vans have always parked at the pavement and drivers walked everything up......it's not as if I have huge heavy orders. Well, there were minimum inches clearance on each side! Hope they don't make a habit of it, thinking of the recently painted white walls as well as damaging the vans.

Penny, I keep meaning to ask, do you still have the cat/s visiting? Maybe the cold weather has persuaded them to stay in their own place.

Hi vannin, We started to have three cats visiting daily but one evening they bumped into each other and were very hostile. Eventually a visiting person made them dash off and since then we only see them one at a time in the distance. Sorry of course but they obviously have homes somewhere. Thanks for asking. Dita asked but I didn,t get round to answering. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, guess you have returned with bags full of bargains and a very full tummy, maybe throat a little hoarse too through lots of chatting to your son, all that without taking a breath :) Odd day for me today, started very relaxed and peaceful until the doorbell rang, it was my cousin from Newark who lives on his longboat, Dolly started barking and panting while running around with a ball in mouth because she had a visitor too my cousins little Staffy, unfortunately to avoid any conflict between them they are kept apart, my little dog would certainly be no match against that stocky little lad. They stayed a couple of hours then my son rang to have a chat about his Dads funeral on Tuesday, this lasted quite a while and then it was late hurried lunch.
Thanks for your kind words Vannin, shall be relieved when it is over. Really good news that Trixie is itch free what a relief for you both. Must have a look at TU's thermals next time we are at Sainsbury's . Keep smiling Penny :) and thanks Andere I shall stick with it with confidence, Hi! sleepy LK :) and take care all xx
