I think we've been fortunate here in that the temps have, so far, not risen above the mid 20sC and there's been a nearly constant little breeze from the east or NE to keep things fresh. Also, so far, the humidity levels have been relatively low, at least during the daytime although I'm finding it difficult to sleep when they rise at night. Unusually, I have terrible hay fever from all the grass and plant pollen. It usually only affects me when the early flowering trees are in blossom but, this year, I've been streaming since mid-April.
I'm SO glad I no longer have to do horrible sweaty rail commutes to work in the overcrowded south east or to sit in a bad-tempered traffic jam. When I know it's going to be really hot, then I just make up my mind not to do anything that isn't absolutely essential and chill out in a comfortable spot.
Enjoy the cool today, Laurie.
