Hi, everyone. Sunny, cool and breezy here also. Our Moss Man is making great progress with the roof, reckons he’ll be finished quite early tomorrow if it doesn't rain. I can't bear to watch him, shinning up a ladder then calmly stepping over the ridge tiles and materialising on the other side of the house. I get vertigo on the kitchen step-stool so this sort of malarkey is not for me.
Interesting about that note with the bread-maker, Penny. My dad worked for Spillers and Marriages in the 60s and 70s and I remember him talking about the inconsistency of English flour due to the climate . He always reckoned that, for bread, Canadian flour was best and that's what I use whenever possible. I didn't, even know you could get Australian flour in this coutrny but, then, I've never looked!
Maggieh, I hope you recover from your bug as quickly as it arrived. That sounds horrid. Daughter is waiting for the survey to be done on her new flat on Friday this week, then she has to wait for the surveyor's report. If that's ok,it will be all systems go. We've done all the paperwork, proofs of identity etc to satisfy the anti money-laundering rules so completion should happen as quickly as the legal searches can be done . She's hoping to move in the first half of December
. Yesterday, she had her post surgery check up with her consultant. He told her she still should not be lifting and carrying anything heavier than a small loaf of bread and nearly had a fit when she said she's planning to move house in a month! That apart, she's doing fine and is trying to get some physio organised to help speed up the recovery.
