In the east of the South Island is a place called Moeraki, which a bit famous for it's strange beach boulders which have all eroded from the sandstone cliffs since the Paleocene era , 65 million years ago.

65 million years ago. you can't image it, such history, I remember years back my daughter went to New Zealand think her partner than was in the RAF, and on her return she never stops talking about it, I was getting so worried that she might emigrate, but she is still here.

I ended up here after my dad was on loan from the RN to the RNZN for 3 years. We liked it so we stayed. :mrgreen:
