AEX files

Postby Liz » Wed May 31, 2006 11:06 pm

I have a CD called the Greeting Card Factory. There is an installation disc, and also two other discs with graphics on.

The thing is, I can't open these graphics. They are called AEX files, and I am supposed to be able to use them with the programme, but however many different ways I have tried, I still can't open them.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Can you not rename the extension Liz?

This is what I use, it's very easy. It converts them into an openable image

ReaConvertorPro - just google for it.

I had a look at it Monsy, and it seems I have to pay for it.
Is this right?

No, shouldn't be - I don't pay for anything..

It's shareware. With the shareware version you can only do 5 at a time, will that not be enough?

You could go away and come back and do another 5 if you needed to!

Here's a place you can get it:

I'm not that clued up on these files but .aex means it's an Alpha linked executable file

An executable file is a program of some kind – that can be run by the computer directly. The file will have been generated from a source program by an assembler or compiler. It will therefore not be coded in ASCII and will not be readable as text.

An alpha compiler translates source code into images and your .aex files, being executable files should run when clicked, just as IE is an executable program that opens when you want to use your browser.
