I've only ever used it on forums if there's a subject I'm particularly interested in being discussed and I'm anxious to read replies the moment they come in (well, almost). Mind you, this happens less and less these days, so it wouldn't bother me if things here at the Tree were to be left as they are. :sunglasses:

I always use the "View posts since last visit" on here because there is no e-mail notification,

So OK, don't need it. :rolleye11:

You can allow pop-ups for specific sites even when you don't allow them generally, though, Miggsy..........that's what I do.

In the early days of being a 'forumer' I made the mistake of asking for e mail notification. Soon learnt my lesson - had to wade through e mails before I could get onto the forum :dunno:

All I meant was that to tell someone on here of a post I had submitted,I had to leave her a message on another forum we are both on...she had missed it on here...anyhow looks as though I am out voted, but I will say this - it's the only forum that I subscribe to that doesn't have the facility of reply emails :magnify:

Could you not have emailed your friend Josie? :sorry:

I'm not that bothered. Besides I already get at least 800 emails a week, last week it was 1200. It's enough coping with that lot.

I agree - I couldn't be doing with all those emails! All I want from any forum is notification if I get a PM, and that is enough for me.
