The Kiss

The Kiss

Postby Daffyd » Mon Mar 16, 2009 9:53 pm

The warm, soft sweetness of your lips

As they caressed my tear stained face,

Reminded me of our relationship

And your love for the human race.

Those lips were as soft as a summer breeze

Sweet, as the morning dew upon a rose.

Alas, I'm now threatened by the Sword of Damocles

Because of the path I chose.

I made the choice to turn from thee

And leave your light behind,

Only to stumble, fall on bended knee

For without your light, I'm blind.

I know I've wandered far from the path

That was set out for me,

I return disgraced, to face your wrath

And any punishment you may decree.

Tear stained and weary I kneel once more

To bathe in that light I miss,

And with baited breath, you, I implore

Forgive me, with your kiss.
