Yes I remember Bruce Woodcock beaten by Joe Backsie, ( I think thats how you spell his surname) Bruce's main problem was that he only had one good punch a straight left, but nothing else he used his right hand to protect his chin only.

Brian London had a gym very close to Blackpool Tower, Both the Turpin brothers were exceptional boxers but Randy was the better, you remember he had that boxing ring put up on top of the great Orme in Llandudno, he was finally beaten by Sugar Ray Robinson around about 1952, but I believe Randolph Turpin was owned by a gang, again coming to a sticky end.
