I think we have been very lucky, Penny. In South East London where my daughter lives, yesterday had the floods and thunderstorm. Fortunately they live in a third-floor flat. Stratford where 2012 Olympics were held, is the worst-hit place in the country at the moment.
Sorry about your daughter vannin. The weatgerman seems to have gone crazy this year, I pray every day for the rain to concentrate on all the places burning.
Morning all. Promised rain overnight but amount was so small no sign of any puddles at all. Sky very dull at present Fingers crossed that lots of rain will pour on the countries burning at present.
Wow. 8.20pm lovely sunshine, 8.21pm a terrific downpour, looking out just about stopped now at 8.25pm Sky looks very worrying. Waiting now for thunder and lightening. Penny

Similar conditions reached here at 1 p.m. Two thunderclaps and a deluge lasting half an hour.
Morning all. Lovely blue sky with little puffs of white cloud. As yesterday, little breeze is becoming a wind. Seems to be saying rain later. Will let you know. I hope all are enjoying the weather,
A real downpour since just before one. Still a straight down lighter rain. Keep praying for it to go to the burning forests. Sky looks very heavy so I think we are in for quite a drop today.
