My local forecast was spot-on this morning. It said rain would start at 9 p.m. in this locality....and it DID!

We started the day very dull. During the next two hours it appears a little rain came down but such a tiny amount, no puddles and the only clue we can see or could see, was a tiny bubble hanging from the TV wire.

No change here today. Just a dull sky, no wind or rain. Just been to the chemist and as it is so quiet and calm we went to sit for an hour and watch the barges alongside the canal

Wow. Had rain during the night and as I woke up it had stopped. Within 5 mins. it started again and has been heavy and light ever since. Not stopping once. Must be something about me......

It re-started last night and has never let up. Bucketing down for everyone I imagine.

It was sunny when I got up, by the time I had made my first cuppa it was raining just a little, as though making up its mind which way it was going to go. Still raining but not very heavily, hope it doesn't turn into torrents. ?

Firefighters are responding to flooding across Bucks and Milton Keynes as rain continues today (Friday, June 18).

Issues are reported in towns including Bletchley, Buckingham and Wingrave.

A Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Within the last hour we have received more than 30 calls to flooding incidents, mainly in Bletchley, Buckingham, Wing and Wingrave, and are working with other agencies to provide advice and assistance."

"Calls are also coming in from Amersham and Seer Green in Buckinghamshire and Beanhill, Coffee Hall, Fishermead and Peartree Bridge in MK ."

"Firefighters have closed Chalfont St Peter High Street because of a sewage leak and are working with other agencies to manage the incident. Please avoid the area."

A Met Office weather warning for rain is in force across Bucks and MK until 11.59pm on Friday night - with the latest Met Office weather forecasts for Milton Keynes, High Wycombe and Aylesbury all predicting rain will continue into the evening.

The warning states: "Spells of heavy rain may lead to some travel disruption and flooding, with thunder possible towards eastern coasts.

Grey and miserable with light rain then heavy rain. The world's weather seems to be self destructing! Australia has had snow and floods. We had floods in the South Island around Ashburton. Still it is winter here so I guess we have to lump it! Rosie is not pleased with the lack of walks and sniffings!

Saturday. Sky still dull but no more rain here as yet, and not heard of any flooding in this area. Most odd. Do hope weatherman gets himself sorted soon.

3,30. Sky patchy with a little brightness popping through now and then. Seems we have odd weather for some time yet. Take care and fingers crossed for a good supply of sunshine soon. Cheers Penny
