Hi Penny, and also Andere, it's ok for some cruising around, sounds great. Shall we join her Penny? Suddenly we are in the middle of a heat wave, I feel the same too much too quickly it has doubled in the past couple of days. Too hot for little doggie she is sending hugs to you and taking it easy today. Next door have invited us round, they are having a barbie, not keen on them really but they are good folk and I do not want to upset them, will see how it goes. Take Care Penny :) Andere and all x

Evening all.....my first post on this thread but I only just got round to reading some of the latest.
Mazzy, I've been using Tesco online shopping for a few years now (tried 'em all but stick with them), mostly very good and when there's a problem I just tweet at them and it gets sorted very quickly. Best of luck with it.

Glad you're enjoying your cruise Andere. I'm going on one tomorrow to Norway.....Land of the Midnight Sun but more likely Land of the Midnight Rain if the forecasters are to be believed. Looking forward to it though as we've been on this particular ship before and had a great time, so fingers crossed for the weather and at least it'll give us a chance to cool off a bit. Back in 2 weeks.

Morning Dita and all, lovely to of someone else going on a trip. Seems Norway is very popular at the moment, have a wonderful time and keep in touch so we too can enjoy same. Very dull when I woke this morning but very sunny again now. Funny how the heat makes one just want to sit and do nothing. (my excuse) See Morrisons are now going online, seems they are the last to do so. Be interesting see how they get on, Always liked Morrisons but their store is a little out of the way for me. Big hugs for doggie, might be a little too warm again for a good walkies. Take care all and have a lovely Sunday. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, It was very dull here until a short while ago, now its sun out and roasting again. Did take advantage of the low cloud by doing some weeding and doggie walking before the penetrating heat took over. She sending Big hugs to you Penny, doggie says, you take it easy, like she is. We do not shop at Morrisons very often, it is farther out and it has a full carpark all the time which you can be riding round for ages. Good they are going online at last. Keep cool Penny :) and all.

Good morning all and a happy Monday to everyone. It's bright, sunny and warm in Belgium where I'm currently in the lovely city of Ieper, chilling-out before the homeward trek on Wednesday. It's not yet quite as warm as most of England seems to be at present and nowhere near the humidity levels. I'm not looking forward to unpacking and sorting out in the predicted 27C of Essex mugginess and am currently trying to persuade OH we should just stay here 'til the worst is over but he won't have it!

Morning Dita and all, how lovely it all sounds Andere. So hot here today, unbearable. Better to stay there for another week. Just went for a salad for lunch but can't rouse enough energy to prepare same yet. Hope Maggiemint is enjoying herself. Lucky people. Too hot for doggie walkies today I expect. Too hot for hugs so give her a big pat. Just called in to our local dairy and watch dog too hot to even bark. Hope all have a good Monday and staying cool. Take care. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all. As Penny says Andere, you are bettter off where you are in beautiful Belgium, it is very very hot here. We are having salad today too, cooked Chicken yesterday with a struggle, it was so hot, it is left overs today. You are right, poor doggie is sprawled out with no intentions of walkies-thankgoodness- she does have the energy to send you hugs despite this. You stay cool too and keep yer chin up Penny :) and all.

Morning Dita and all, so hot, can't believe it. Having salad again today. Although we usually go to the club on a Tuesday I just could not be bothered today. Pity poor doggie. A big light hug from me. Just put a loaf In, can't be bothered to do any more. Hubby sitting outside trying to find a breeze, got four fans (electric again) going at the moment Can't leave windows tho 'because birds have got too dependent on food the sit beneath the window and I am sure they would try to get in. My own fault of course. Hope everyone is well and keeping cool, take care. cheers Penny

Morning Penny and all. Certainly is a scorcher again, they will all be discussing global warming again. Yesterday my Grandson was presented with his degree at Bristol University, my son and ex wife were both there, they had only 2 tickets allocated or I would have loved to be there too. Had a quick football session with doggie, it didn't last long, sending hugs to you instead. :) You are a spoil sport, not allowing your birds help themselves, can imagine they soon would do if given a chance. Take Care and keep cool Penny :) and all.

Hi everyone - well, shouldn't complain, but it is a bit hot!
We can't have the windows open very much either, as the cats would probably make a bid for freedom. They don't have free access to the big wide world - though they do have a lovely big purpose built run in the garden. It's a bit too hot for them to do anything much at the momentanyway.

Did have a bit of excitment last night when a small frog got in the house. They didn't know what to do with it, but were very intrigued. I think he was quite relieved to be put back into the pond.

All of the stuff I ordered from Tesco turned out well, so have put another order in for this week - can't believe it is so easy!

Went shopping for some clothes today.....as everything else seems to have shrunk......tried lots on in the shops, and bought some nice bits. Trouble is I just tried them on again and they seemed to have shrunk a bit already......ah well.

Funny how clothes shrink when you haven't worn them for some time. I find that quite often. I do envy you with lovely cats, would adore some more now. As you say, it is so hot, I just don't know what to do with myself. I expect it won't be long before we say, Winter has arrived. Never satisfied are we. Never mind, have a nice day. cheers Penny

Pleased you were happy with your Tesco delivery Mazzy, it does save so much work lugging them in and out of trolley etc. I usually pay £3.50 and its well worth it, it could be cheaper than petrol going oneself. We could do a clothes swap, lots in my wardrobe are too big, had to buy smaller. Poor little frog, it would be sooo happy to be back in the pond. Keep cool Mazzy :)

Morning Dita and every one. So very hot, don't know what to do with myself. Just having salad again. I take it everyone is lying low to keep cool, Pity folk working outdoors. Pity doggie today, hard to explain to an animal that it is too hot for walkies. Big but gentle hugs from me. Take care all and have a good day. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all. Seems a bit cooler because the sun keeps going. We had BT arrive before 10am, he has only just finished 1.15pm, we have had a fault on our line for ages and at last managed to convince them it is something to do with the line. He has now connected us to another line, so fingers crossed. Doggie was too busy with the BT man that a walk was forgotten, she sends gentle hugs back to you too Penny. Like you I'm slow moving and lying low. Take Care Penny :) and all.
