Hi all - wow! I'm first today; there's unusual. Very grey and gloomy this morning but at least there's no fog hereabouts. OH has gone to an appointment with a dietician re his weight problem but I can't see what she/he is going to say except to consume less and do more. I'd certainly find it hard to cope if he was told to follow a rigid diet sheet and weigh everything etc. Meantime, I'm sitting with my feet up and LK on my lap while I drink my coffee before I let rip with the vacuum cleaner. I really hate housework but sometimes you just gotta do it!
Hope everyone is ok - hugs to all :grouphug:

Hope everyone is OK after that dreadful weather yesterday. Off to Costco today. Need to top up. Take care all and have a good day. hugs and kisses all round for little ones. Wish I could give them all a big hug personally. cheers Penny

Hi Penny, back as promised to find no one else has been on, meant to say Andere that as I have got older housework gets more and more boring I've never liked doing it but it was as much about a duty as anything and was happy to do it because I needed my family to feel proud of everything, now I don't think they really care about anything apart from their own environment much the same as I used to. Hope you didn't go too mad with the cleaner Andere. Bet you came back with lots of bird seed today Penny, we were going to go and have a mooch round M&S but the fog didn't clear so decided not to bother. Keep your chin up Penny :) and take care all xx Purrs for LK & Trixie xx

Morning Dita and all. What a boring old day again. Heavy rain all morning and very dull. Hugs and kisses all round for little ones, at least they can escape the sheer boredom of housework. Are we all browned off or is it the weather????. Number of envelope we get asking for subscriptions. Does everyone get these. Even worse this time of year. Did a very quick trip to Costco. Place overloaded with Xmas stuff. One of the offers is some Ten to Twelve foot high teddy bears. Can you credit it. How can children play with such. The mind boggles. Think I will hibernate till spring. Care to join me???. Take care and keep warm. cheers Penny

Oh dear - aren't we a bunch of miseries? It's wet and dark here, too. The rain came down so hard in the early hours that it woke me up and I thought there was a plumbing problem in the bathroom in my fuddled, sleepy state. Took a while to realise it was only the weather! One thing's for sure - the sheets I've just washed won't be hanging outside today! LK is currently snuggled up on my bed; she's been very affectionate all morning and following me from room to room, yowling at me and seems not to want me out of her sight ... not sure why.
OH has 6 further sessions with his dietician. They discussed food groups and nutrients yesterday and he's been told to go back next week with a "healthy shopping list". So he demanded my Waitrose delivery notes because he's sure they're full of healthy stuff!

I think I'd have been terrified by a ten-foot bear when I was a child! When my daughter moved into her first flat, she said she needed something to cuddle as she'd be living alone for the first time. I found a teddy on offer in a supermarket, about the size of the average 2-year-old. I bought it and wheeled it out to the car park seated in the trolley's child seat. The number of people who just stopped dead and did a double take when they saw this had me in fits of laughter ... (Daughter loves the bear and still has him 20+ years on).

:sorry: Don't think what I wanted is going to work :roflmao: :roflmao: meaning 'why is Sam moving around so much' ??
Hi Penny and all, do not think we are having as much rain here in Lincs but the fog has been here all week, no wonder we are miserable 'no light'.
Teddies as big as all that cannot possibly be cuddly unless you are at least 8ft tall really doesn't make sense.
Both OH and myself have been inundated with begging letters from charities most have a pen, raffle tickets,2 greeting cards with envelopes or maybe coasters included, we just dump them in the bin, what a waste, occasionally have sent odd cards on only to get from a friend one similar back through the post doing the same thing. :hide: Keep smiling Penny :) and take care all xx :grouphug:

Son-in-law bought Jade a BIG Teddy Bear some time ago. I think from the look on her face she was just a little bewildered !

He is used mainly as an arm chair now.

Cor! Blimey can't make up my mind if that's fear or elation on their faces Lacey, and as for the chess game it's easy to tell whose winning.
Hi Penny and all, horrible day, much too wet to raise my skirt that's certain, maybe change my mind if the sun shines. Enjoy your shop and lunch with your son may catch you later. Keep smiling Penny :) and take care all xx
