I guess you'll have that new dryer working hard already, Penny if it's raining as much where you are as it is here. It's utterly vile and I just want to go back to bed and hibernate; can't see the point of being up and around at all today! (LK has just come and rubbed my ankles to remind me that the point is to make sure she's fed and has all her needs attended to. Silly me, how could I forget?) Hope everyone's managing to keep dry and waterproof and all cats and dogs are safely inside.

Hi Penny and all, very overcast morning decided late morning that a visit to Sainsbury's wouldn't go amiss before the clouds opened, which it did as we were on the way back home and it is now coming down thick and fast like you have described. Pleased you have your new drier up and running, it means no bedding stuffed on radiators drying all round the house. Bought a couple of Chicken en croute with mushrooms, lemon & thyme for lunch they were very tasty. Too full now to move very far :) chin up Penny :) and take care Andere LK and all xx

Hi Penny and all, there is a massive Poplar in someone's garden a couple of doors from where we live, the winds last night caused us to hope and pray it stayed upright because part of its trunk is hollow inside. Wind has eased but it still blustery and now raining. The wife of my ex rang me twice yesterday to fill me in on the funeral arrangements for Dec 1st, we had a friendly chat both times but have been on good terms for many years. Think I shall be watching Andy on BBC2 this afternoon play a bit of tennis, Enjoy that bit of Me time Penny :) and take care all.

Slightly shivery greetings to one and all. Still a stiff breeze blowing here and it's raining again ... still, I didn't have anywhere to go so I ended up staying in all day. Washed bedding this morning then spent the afternoon hunched over the tablet, trying to make sense of the file management system - I can't!! Compared to Windows in whatever version, Android is so user-unfriendly. Nothing is where you expect it to be. If learning to drive your Chromebook was anything like this, Penny, then I'm filled with admiration that you're still sane!

I think tomorrow's supposed to be a nicer day (the lull before the Big Chill that's forecast) so maybe I'll have to chivvy OH into going ot somewhere to enjoy it while we can ....
Hope everyone's warm and dry and that the poplar tree stays up.

Hi Penny and all, enjoy your shop and chat while lunching with your son, do wish I could spend time with my family Penny :( . You sound to be getting down to the nitty gritty with your new gadget now Andere, I quite enjoy my Samsung but I do not do very much compared to you as far as technical and internet stuff is concerned maybe. Because my sad feelings and anxiety have not gone away have decided to have a bash with the Sad Light Diamond 4 I bought for my OH a few years ago, sadly :) he never used it and it has been stood on a shelf ever since, :) maybe now it will succeed and do its job for me, will let you know. Keep chin up Penny, Andere, may pop in later but my grocery delivery is due from 2pm to3pm and there will be a bottle of Baileys on board which I may drink hic hic. :butt: xx :grouphug:

Hi Dita and all. Got shopping over quickly today, then had nice lunch with son. Caught up with gossip and then home again. Very dull again and we had rain. Just received Email re Lidl. They have bottle of Bailey,s at 3.99. Not sure if it it is like Baileys real stuff but thought it worth passing on. Used to make my own which is best of course. If you fancy making your own Dita let me know. Very simple. Looks like another boring night ahead. Take care and keep warm as it is going to be colder from now. cheers Penny

Hi, everyone. Thought I'd better look in before I go to bed. Glad you had a good lunch and a natter, Penny. It's been a nothing sort of day here - grey and rainy - so we didn't go out after all. I'm feeling particularly down today, apart from the wretched SAD, as it would have been my little sister's 60th birthday, had she lived that long. She died 15 years ago and, although we quarrelled like feral cats quite often, I still miss her badly. Nobody knows you or understands you quite like a sister and she was the only one I had. Don't know whether to go to bed or sit here with the whisky bottle getting maudlin. Hugs to all. :grouphug:

morning Dita and all. Do hope all are feeling a little brighter today. Started very dull but bright sunshine and blue sky at the moment. Fingers crossed it will stay like this. Nothing planned as per. Just done a pile of ironing and now cooking lunch. Birds driving me crackers for food. Been fed three times today and now down again. Must be about 80 rooks and several jackdaws. I know how you feel Andere, there is always something that brings back memories and then the sadness sinks in. Nothing we can do except grin and bear it. so smiley faces today all round. Hugs and kisses for little ones. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, been dry sunny day up to now, had to nip out for an hour because OH needed bits and bobs insisted I go too, he didn't get what he wanted so came back empty handed, apart from one thing- a stone hit the windscreen centre bottom and it now has a semi circle small crack Grr! . Andere Sorry to hear you are feeling down and I can understand why despite the fact that I longed for a sibling but it never happened. Penny those naughty birds are taking advantage of you :) keep chin up, and Andere give cuddles and lots of love to LK our pets know things. Xx,
