Hi Penny and all, hope you got your trees sorted guess there will have been a few angry birds around, hope they haven't put any splodges on your windows Penny. Thank goodness today is over, the funeral was very low key and lasted about 30mins, we then went to a local pub for a buffet where I met ex's family of whom I have not met for years, what struck me most was their kindness towards me it was quite humbling because I had no idea they thought so highly of me despite divorcing their close relative. Hope all ok at your house Penny :) and take care all xxx

Hello everyone. Dita, I hope you're feeling better now that Tuesday's over. So good to hear that your ex-in-laws were kind and welcoming which must have made things so much easier for you and your son.
It's been a lovely morning here but all clouded over now. :(
A LK is at the cattery because we've decided to abscond for a few days in Belgium tomorrow so I'll be busy packing this afternoon while OH puts the GB sticker and headlight deflectors on the car. Hope all are ok and I'll post again from Foreign Parts!

Morning Dita and all. Not very bright and had rain overnight. mustn' t grumble. Had a nice shock on rising this morning, ten pheasants in the rear garden. Had a grouse yesterday and they have all found where I put the seeds for the rooks. Had to laugh, I have a big stone boot outside the conservatory and put seed inside. It is funny to see the birds pushing each other off so that they can reach inside. Today was extra as the pheasants were fighting to get at it. Think I will open a store, no need to advertise, word seems to have got round. Do hope all are keeping well and happy. Found my neck and shoulders so stiff when I was reading the paper been doing the breathing job to relax. All due to dentists visit and stuff going on in the garden. Off for weekly and hopefully lunch after with son. Look out for TU sale at Sainsbury Dita. Hugs and kisses for little ones. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, love your account of the pheasants and the grouse, made my imagination jump into action thus --if you are not careful you will be inundated with farmers armed with their shooting gear hiding behind bushes with rifles pointing towards your conservatory taking pot shots at the targets you have provided, maybe if you are nice to them you will be given a brace of pheasant for xmas dinner :) Thanks for the TU tip, hopefully we will get there tomorrow, hope you manage to get a catch up with your son today for lunch. I too find myself stiffening up in the neck and shoulders so I do the exercises, also using the sad light for 20mins each morning and I do think it starting to work. Keep chin up regardless Penny :) and take care all xx

Thaks Dita, Some time ago I had a pheasant given to me and promptly gave it away. Just back from shopping and happily lunch with son. Sainsbury;s sale is 25% off all items, so worth a look. Didn't have time myself. Have a good day and keep up with the exercise. cheers Penny

morning Dita and all. Hope all are well and Andere got fine weather. If interested, Lidle have half price weekend .. BoughtOHs choc on Thursday 99 p block. Just been told 49 p block at weekend. Trust me to lose out as I bought him six bars. Birds came down extra early today meaning to beat all the pheasants who were pinching all the seeds yesterday. feel a bit better today but had a poor nights sleep. Nice and sunny now after a dull start. Have just been de,icing the big chest freezer. OH will stack food too high so that the lid doesn',t slam down properly. Another job I will have to do myself. Anyway, done and dusted. Do take care all and remember to relax. ( I know, easier said than done) Anyway have a good day all and keep going. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, have only just managed to get on line and am on my tablet. I'm sorry you are not sleeping well and you have all my sympathy, takes one to know one so they say. Thanks for the Lidle tip very rare we go there as it is not easy for us parking. Hope Andere enjoying her break we should have gone too and sod our OH's :) Hope the birds are cunning enough to beat those pesky pheasants from now on because it seems to me they have got a good idea already. Time for a cuppa now, keep your chin up Penny :) and take care all xx

Hi everyone and I hope all is well despite a lack of sleep in some places. I do sympathize; it's horrible when you can't do something as basic as zzz zzz and makes you feel you're fraying at the edges. Here, it's been a lovely sunny day after a very wet night when the rain woke us up it was pounding so hard on the window. It's lovely to be back in Belgium. We had an excellent trip over and have spent today doing most of our shopping. I've just bought what I know is going to be called my dead sheep waistcoat! It's all polyester but looks exactly like a slightly scruffy sheepskin and I think I'm gonna live in it this winter :)
Off to a French hypermarket tomorrow for the rest of the shopping then, if it's sunny again, a trip to the coast. One of these days we'll have to arrange a girls -only forum trip to somewhere. The OHs can stay home to arrange bail if we get arrested!

Morning Dita and all, bit late, been doing Xmas cards ready for posting. Costing a bomb these days. Soon everyone will be using the Internet. Nice to hear you are enjoying your trip Andere, keep it up. Hugs and kisses for little ones. Not nice here this morning, cold and very windy. pheasants were crafty, came very early so when rooks arrived, no seed could be found. Just been out topping up all round the rear garden. watching the snooker today, a bit boring at times but nothing else on till strictly this evening.Still trying to work out. In the paper it says there are six couples and after this week it is the semi=finals. Never known a semi with five couples. Am I mis reading something? Take care all and keep warm. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, weather horrid here too, the wind is causing the little birds feathers to be well ruffled, amazing how they manage to fly towards the wind without getting blown back again, not so bad for the ones eating your seed they are big un's Penny. Hope you enjoy the snooker, OH not so keen so what will be on today is up to him until Strictly this evening, he did mention that Boxing is on later tonight so guess we'll be watching that. I have my xmas cards to write and post over the weekend, I've been reminding myself all week to get them done but keep avoiding it as you say its quite a pricey job now -a- days.
Am sending OH with Dolly for a blow up the road and back, Dolly hates it. Keep smiling Penny :) and take care all xx
Just remembered Andere, I have two of those scraggy imitation sheepskin waistcoats I bought one years ago from the Edinburgh Wool shop, pleased you are enjoying yourself.

Morning Dita and all, not very nice here, very cold and still windy. Out for lunch shortly, not my idea but he who rules arranged it. Have a good weekend all and do keep warm. Hugs and kisses for little ones. Just been feeding the crows, OH counting, well over 80 rooks plus jackdaws today. They must be running short of normal stuff. Pheasants are crafty, they cleared the ground before we got up today. Catch you later I hope. cheers Penny

Hi Penny and all, horrible weather and floods in the Lake District, we were very lucky in comparison, it is just a miserable day here. Your garden sounds like a scene from a Hitchcock film and thinking about the pussy cat visitors, no wonder they are keeping well away. Hope you enjoy your lunch today, (I hate men ) keep quiet and carry on Penny :) and take care all xx
